Ascend ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Ascend mobile application and sells the Ascend NFC card. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Account Information:

- Username and display name (for your profile and leaderboard)
- Profile picture (optional)

Focus & Productivity Data:
- Focus session duration and timestamps
- Task lists and completion status
- Daily focus time totals

Social Features:
- Friends list
- Leaderboard rankings

Purchase Information (via Shopify):
- Name and shipping address (for card delivery)
- Payment information (processed securely by Shopify, we do not store card details)

INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

- App blocking selections stay on your device via Apple's Screen Time API
- We do not access your contacts, photos, or other personal files
- We do not track your location

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

- To provide and maintain the Ascend app
- To track and display your focus progress
- To enable social features (friends, leaderboard)
- To ship your NFC card
- To communicate with you about your order or account

DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted database provider. We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your information.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

- Supabase: Database and authentication
- Shopify: E-commerce and payment processing
- Apple Screen Time API: App blocking (data stays on your device)

DATA RETENTION

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time within the app, which will permanently remove all your data from our servers.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Request a copy of your data

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Ascend is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
